Help Earphone's mic stopped working

Hey guys, i have a samsung original earphone, which has a mic built in. Today the mic stopped working, though i can still hear from both sides of the earphone. I tried to open up the little case (that has three buttons in it: pause/end call; turn up volume; turn down volume) and all i found was a chip, in which i could not detect the problem (because i don't understand about it). So my question is: How can i use the phone's mic instead of the earphone's mic but with the earphones plugged in. (i want to hear through the earphones, but want to speak through the phone's own mic.)

As far as I'm aware the headphone jack in our phones is output sound only, no input. There are metal contacts on the end of your earphone plug that must match up with specific, corresponding metal contacts inside your phone's headphone jack. It's more or less just a mechanical connection, as opposed to something like USB Type-C where there's also a metal-to-metal connection but there's a lot more connectivity that can include power transfer and input/output data transfer.
