Easy and Highly Requested App

Hi,

I am a monther of a 1 year old and the driod has been a lifesaver for me in times of upset child.

My husband has downloaded videos off of youtube and put them on the phone for quick playback, anytime the child gets upset or fussy I put on a video and the kid is glued to it.

However as you know the buttons on a driod are very touchy, the kid wants to touch the screen and see her favorite characters and what not and constantly accidentally touches the back or home buttons and bye bye video.

I know 100's of driod using mothers would agree with me, that it would be awesome to have an app running that could be activated with a hotkey that would disable the use of the back and home buttons, and even make a 2nd hotkey that disables everything.

There is a perfect application that has this functionality called toddler lock:

However it only locks for that one application. This request would be so i can lock the screen or buttons when im in youtube, or another app like flashcards or something.

The driod is awesome for a kids distraction, but the touchy back buttons can be a pain.

I'm fairly certain that an app like that is not possible. While each app can choose to ignore the back button, there's no way (for security reasons) to suppress the back button events for other apps.

Yeah... what if you suppress the home button, how would one switch among tasks?
