Easy tether

Hello out there. I bumped into this site while trying to problem solve a tablet issue.... maybe one of ya'll can point me in the right direction....

I downloaded Easy Tether to my computer for Kindle Fire and then plugged in iPhone as instructed. The app didn't show up on my phone, so I thought maybe I made a mistake. So I installed again (stupid, I know). Now the Kindle Fire says my smartphone is running to versions of Easy Tether and I need to remove one to avoid the problem of no-connection.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove since I don't even see it on my phone to begin with.

Mystefied,

K.

Does Easy Tether support iphone?

The tricky part of tethering is the phone part.

If you enable some type of WiFi tethering on a phone, then your Kindle Fire should be able to connect to it like it's a normal WiFi access point/router.

You dont need an app for the Kindle as far as I know. To the kindle it should just look like regular WiFi.

i never tried tethering on an iPhone and did not know it was possible. but given how it seems you needed to plug in the iPhone via USB on your computer and side-load the app, you *may* need to jailbreak the iPhone or put it into 'DFU Mode' to do that.

i always used Android phones to tether, i just install 'root wifi tether' and tap to start and it is ready to go. all my Androids are rooted.
