so about a week ago my droid razr maxx's microphone broke so verizon sent me a replacement and i want to copy EVERYTHING over. is there any easy way to do this? because when i plug them into my computer and copy everything some stuff cant copy. i was wondering if there was a program similar to itunes but for droids to make it easy? its not copying some of my apps and photos. I dont know what this rooted and unrooted stuff is either so if i have to unroot it someone please explain it? Thank you very much ahead of time.

Photos just sync up to G+(google plus) Apps will not transfer over, You will have to redownload them like every other devixe unless your rooted

Matlgroffs utility for Jelly Bean. Use updated SafeStrap 3.72. You may also want to try to load in a third-party rom. I personally recommend Aviator Blur. You can restore your data (apps, etc) from the stock rom onto Aviator Blur ONLY because they are the same ROM essentially. Now, Aviator Blur is not updated to the stock .165 version, however there are enough built in tweeks in Aviator to compensate. Snoop around Droidrzr.com for everything.

The bottom line is ... there is no easy way to backup and restore everything unless you are root-ed. Titanium Backup is THE app to use when you are rooted to accomplish it.

Root-ing will violate your agreement and Verizon may in deed charge you the replacement cost of the new phone.

If you want to pursue root-ing and copying I will move this thread to the all things root sub-forum where root-related questions are discussed.
