Personally, I'd trust Amazon before eBay, but that's just me. As far as the quality, it's always a bit of a crapshoot with aftermarket products. I've ordered a few non-OEM batteries for laptops over the years and they work. They don't hold a charge as long as the OEM claims theirs would and they don't tend to last as long as the OEM battery, but I always figure that the laptop would be gone before the second battery dies.

i bought a dell battery on ebay, it was suppose to be a OEM 6 cell but at 1/3 of the price, it worked but i felt it was about 80% of the battery life

the company i got it from .. was very helpful and responsive ...

but the product.. is not good...
it does not perform to spec... low low performance... does not last near what you would expect. less than 1.5 hrs of use.

you get what you paid for it.. $30 ...
OEM is $150... so 1/5 the price... about 1/2 the performance..

My professional experience with Dell batteries is only the oem ones are worth paying for. Anything else is false economy
