Eclair thumbnails

Hi

I am running 2.1 eclair on a tablet but can't figure out how to edit the thumbnails for movies etc. The thumbnails that the device generates do not indicate what the film is and no text is shown underneath. Does anyone have any ideas. By the way I'm viewing the movies etc through the stock Gallery App.
