Apps eclipse problems

do u know of any resources on learning the java code etc for android and i have everything installed following the developer web page but when i try to open eclipse i get this message....some thing about java( jdk) must be avaliable to run eclipse no java was found when searching this path blah blah blah so what do i do?

You might need to download and install the latest Java Developmental Kit which also includes the Java Runtime Environment (link).

i already have that installed....maybe the path is wrong? how do i change the paths?
