Editing a possible ringtone

I have an evo and have a 2.3 sec mp3 file as my ringtone. Unfortunately, it plays over & over again, back to back. Would anybody know how, or if there IS even a way to stagger it to play lets say, every 4 or 5 seconds other than having to modify it w/ a wav editor?

Ringdroid would select only the section of the music to be played - continuously.
What OP is asking is possible to do with for example Audacity - Audacity: Free Audio Editor and Recorder
Simply open the ringtone and add 4-5 seconds of silence at the end.

Yeah, I tried audacity but it was almost as complicated as Nero wav editor which is what I was using first. I was just trying to avoid the complexity all the audio options. I just simply turned down the mic volume in audacity & recorded the wav file plus an additional few seconds of quiet. then saved the NEW file. THX!
