Help Editing Text on the Galaxy S

Enthrall

Newbie
Hullo!

I'd like to know if there's any way to edit the Text by 'dragging' the cursor to the letter you want, rather than switching to the Swype-Edit screen and using the arrows there? Something like what's present on the iPhone(magnifies the text as you drag your finger to move the cursor along).

Thanks! :)

Hiya,

if you double tap below the text, an icon appears that allows you to drag the cursor around, highlight text, cut, copy, paste etc.

Not sure if this is unique to Froyo however

It's Froyo only.

If you are using swype, swipe from the bottom left button (the one with the "i") to the SYM button. This will open up a special keyboard allowing you to control the cursor.

Heya Snapper, thanks! I know about that option, but was wondering whether I could do it the way Seanzo mentioned. Guess I'll be waiting on FroYo then.

Thanks again :)
