Help Editing Word Docs on Android from Computer

1. I will be without Internet on my home computer for a while.
2. I have a lot of Word docs that I would like to edit from my home computer when it is attached to the Android via USB.
3. I would like to use any application or way so that the files are uploaded on the internet to a share. Google Drive was my first choice but it did not work.

I use my laptop/Desktop PC just like normal, Office 2003 is loaded completely on the hard drive. It is NOT in the cloud, I refuse to do that.

Then, using my cellphone as a Hotspot, I just upload the finished Word doc to email, or to my File Server, where it can be downloaded by anyone that I give the download link to. It never misses a beat that way.

I never use Drive, I just don't trust it, period. I want my files under my entire control...
The File Server does not alter the file in any way, it is just a file host, and could care less what format the file might be in.

Any cloud would do that. I wouldn't understand why it didn't work for you. Simply edit the file, save, then on the phone share it to your preferred cloud service.

At which point did you have problems?

So I have now switched to OneDrive. How do I edit a file on OneDrive that is on my Android from my computer using a USB cable. I don't have internet and do not have a Wifi card for the PC.

You don't. OneDrive editing on an Android is done with a cloud connection. You're best off just tethering your phone internet to your PC to have the files sync.

Why can't you open the file on your phone through the pcs file explorer? You should be able to open, edit and save it.

You would need to upload it to One Drive from your phone once you are done editing it.
