Elephone S8 and AT&T

Hi

I'm thinking of purchasing the Elephone S8. According to the specs, it supports the following networks:

Networks:
GSM:
850/900/1800/1900MHz
WCDMA: B1/B8
FDD-LTE: B1/B3/B7/B20
TDD-LTE: B38/B40

I am an AT&T customer. AT&T uses 850 and 1900MHz for GSM, but none of the LTE bands they use match the ones for this phone. In simple terms, what does that mean? Does it mean I won't be able to use LTE with my phone? What will be the effect of that, slow data speeds?

Yes, it means this phone won't be able to use AT&T LTE. It won't be able to use their WCDMA 3G either, as it only has the B1 and B8 bands. In fact this Elephone is NOT suitable for use in North America at all. As you are in the US don't buy this device. Same thing for many imported China phones sold cheap online.
