Lurker
I've just seen an app I never intentionLly downloaded. It doesn't allow me to delete it either the icon is an envelope with an @ sign in the top right have corner. Quite big @ sign. On the list of allowances it says its able to send textmessages that cost. No idea how it got there and no idea how to get rid of it. Pressed it and it said that it needed access to 3g but I'm using 3g. Don't get any further. Looks and feels way too suspect but im worried because i cant get rid of it.

Any ideas? Please helpppppppppppp

No not gmail. Never seen it before. Just a white envelope with an @ sign in the top right hand corner. Doesn't and has never prompted me for log on details or anything.

Most, if not all Android phones come with a stock e-mail program that can be used to connect to other mail systems besides GMail. The reason you can't delete it is because generally it's treated the same as the other pre-installed software on the phone and can only be deleted by rooting/installing a custom rom.

Nothing to be alarmed about.

Psyclone, should I be worried that out says it has the ability to send text messages? It doesnt feel like an email client should.

Does it look something like this with "email" underneath it?:-

No it has an @with an Orange halo with a black @ sign in the middle in the top right hand corner. Also I have another email stock app that I use that has Microsoft active sync but doesn't work with hotmail...
