Help Email application brightness

When launching the android email client (not Gmail as its for an exchange account) the screen brightness goes down. Regardless of what it was set to previously. As the email client is pretty much all black it makes it difficult to view. I cant see any setting in app to change this

Settings>Display> Auto adjust screen tone.

Actually it didn't fully solve the issue. Made it better but not quite, any other ideas?

Try turning off the S3's power saver function. It worked for me!!

If you'd rather leave the power saving options enabled, just uncheck the background colour option within the power saving options
