Email Client for LOW bandwidth, High latency network.

I work with satellite networks, which tend to be much slower than than the cellular networks most mobile devices now use.

Can anyone direct me to a particular email client which is well suited to a low bandwidth, high latency (satellite bounces) connection?

Or possibly what the particular settings should be to get the best bang for the buck so to speak?

Thanks in advance,

joel

An email message is an email message. Using this or that email client won't make any difference in the networks' throughput speed. The size of attachments, however, does! Attachments can easily be hundreds and thousands of times the size of the email message they are attached to. So if your networks have limitations, watch the size of the attachments!

I think by default K9 mail does not download attachments, which could be a huge plus for you, it also doesn't download images.

Give it a shot, I love it.
