Email Client - not pushing email on subfolders

Hello,

I have Galaxy Tab with Android 2.2 and I setup the email client which is working. If I received an email on Inbox - it alerts me, but if the email receive is on subfolder, it wont alert me. I setup my email to push instead of sync every hour or so.

My email layout
Inbox
-personal
-business
-important
-etc.

Another thing, the new email on subfolder will not get updated unless tap the subfolder. I want it to automaically check all the folders on my email account for new message.

Possible?

I guess you're talking about the GMail app: Menu, More, Settings, General Settings, Labels, Chose the Label and you can set the Sync settings. Not sure about notifications: I'm only using my main folder for stuff that I want to be notified about.

Thanks. Yes, I am talking about Google Apps. On my Google apps account, I already set the filter to move the message to their label/ folder. And I am using Thunderbird (IMAP) on my desktop to get and send emails.

However, I am using Galaxy Tab when Im out of the office or in the meetings. I just want to be notified when I received an email even its set on the other label/folder.

Any solutions ? Btw, I am using push instead of retrieving every hour.

Also, is there a way to check all the folders of my google apps (not tapping all the folders just to get all mails or update the folder)

Have you tried it after changing the sync settings? I would imagine that enabling sync would also enable notifications...

Yes, I did change the sync settings. But wont sync the folders in my email. only inbox syncs. . Unless I tap the folder itself, it will sync, but not automatically.
