Help Email deletion sound

Gummomarx

Lurker
If I delete an email via the notification bar, I immediately get my new email sound again and so I have to check to ensure that there is no new actual email. Any idea how to stop the email deletion sound?

Notification settings for whatever app is producing the notification.

If they don't have any control, then using a different email app (I've never met this problem, but I doubt I've used the app you are using).

There's no setting for an email deletion - the app people have confirmed the issue is outside their app's control.

The issue didn't occur on my previous phone (onePlus 5T).

Maybe try a different app temporarily (you can run 2 at once) and see whether it has the same problem.

Unfortunately I don't have a Huawei, so if this is specific to their software I'll have no way of investigating. I do know it's not a general feature of recent Android versions, as I've used 8, 9, 10 and 11 over the last 4 years and never met this.

Just off the chat with Huawei - they could only advise to 'Reset network settings'. I'm not sure it's worth the effort.

I'll try the 2nd app suggestion.

Found it after an epic series of tests - the culprit was:
Settings>Apps>Apps>Nine>Notifications>Alert - No sound
