well i looked and looked and messed the settings, the sync, just about everything i could think of but im trying to disable the automatic receiving of emails due to the fact it eats my data...

I still want to be able to check for them but when i want to, not when the phone just decides to alert me i have no emails..

any info on changing this to manually ? thanks guys !!

Have you tried turning off your e-mail sync? This should work...

Are you talking about the native exchange email app that comes preinstalled on the Note 4 ? If so......DISABLE IT!! I have no idea what it is with that email but it devours data BAD. I use Blue Mail for my iCloud and Gmail mail and 9-Exchange for my corporate email. No data issues.

Hey, is anyone experiencing an occasional but significant delay in sending an email? If occurs sometimes on yahoo mail or outlook, and the sent email remains for a prolonged time in the outbox. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm on WiFi or 4g, or where I'm located, but it also happened on my S4. My phone email setting is NOT on a delay for the sending of emails. Ideas anyone??

hmmm thats interesting.... im going to look for an att.net app

just had the ATT mail app for about the whole day yesterday.... i uninstalled today considering it was just doing the same thing the stock mail app would do and just check mail when ever IT decided it wanted to. so its another data eater.

i'm going to continue looking for another app for now.
