I never appreciated this until I realised I don't have it anymore. I assumed this would be a basic feature on all mobile OS's these days.
So I wondered if anyone know of an app or a workaround that would give this functionality. If you see the image below, the number next to the account shows the unread items but no red star means I've viewed that account since the latest email was received. But if we look at "Lee COM" the red star means there are 1012 unread emails and crucially there are unviewed emails. This account receives errors from a network firewall, so it's really useful to have that red star.
Now at the moment I have the default email application on the homescreen that gives the number of unread emails but if at a glace I want to know if any are unseen I need to remember the previous number.
I downloaded Blackberry Hub but even that doesn't emulate this feature.
I've tried various other 3rd party applications, but in a word am I asking too much from Android?
