Email notification goes crazy

Hi,

I'm having the weirdest problem on my tattoo (android 1.6).

When an email arrives (non-gmail account), the notification sounds for 30 seconds, instead of just once . My gmail and sms notifications work allright though! Any ideas?

Strange , May I suggest going to the email app -> menu -> settings -> Un-tick the notifications -> then re-select it to see if that helps

Could it be that the notification sound is custom made, and is actually 30 seconds long?

I'm using a standard notification sound which works perfectly on my gmail account notification.

I noticed that when I reset the phone, the sound play once again. But then I receive a second mail, the sound plays twice, a third mail, the sound plays three times... It looks like it notifies for each mail in my inbox, read or not.
