Help Email notification

Can any one advise me how I can get my gmail
to notification me when I get a new one?
Every other app works, just gmail.

Hello Newbieoldguy (great user name ).

It's not in the "settings" menu. Hit the Gmail icon, then hit the name of the account ("newbieoldguy@gmail.com" or whatever) and another menu will appear, with those choices and many others.
