Email prompt

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to android so please be patient! I have read several posts on this already but am really non the wiser. I have a galaxy s2 phone. Is there an app for email that will prompt, when delete is selected, whether to delete off just the phone or phone and server?

Posts I have read mention the k-9 mail app but I can't see any options here either. I can't even see any settings pertaining to server where you can apparently check a box that states whether deleted emails are deleted off the server or not! Am scared to delete anything. I use my phone as a kind of screening process, delete the unimportant off the server and phone and then I only have the important ones staring at me when I log on to the pc.

Can you tell I've come from blackberry :o

BTW I use gmail.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

I don't use K9, but did some digging on the web and found these steps for it (hope they help):

Go to your email inbox on your device. Hit the menu button, then account settings, scroll down a little and hit "incoming settings", then near the bottom you'll see "delete email from server", with a menu option directly below it.
*********
The mail will not be deleted off the server until the device email updates. For example, if your email is set to update hourly and you delete a message, that message will still be on the server until the device updates an hour later.

Hey Ryan,

Thanks for the suggestion but I can only see general settings, no matter how much I scroll. I brought the phone with a custom rom on it maybe that's why. If I use the odin app from the market is there still a danger of wiping my phone or will it just update. The drivers don't like windows 7 and I really don't want to brick this phone!
