Help Email 'Stuck' In Trash

I receive email from my ISP account (Comcast) on my MotoX.

Currently there are 3 email messages from my ISP account 'stuck' in the Trash. My phone says I have 3 messages in the Trash, but when I open the Trash all I see is a spinning circle, that keeps on spinning and doing nothing else.

How can I see these three messages?

I assume that you're intending to delete them. What happens normally when you delete emails from your phone, on the ISP's side? Do they normally go into a trash folder, or deleted altogether? If there's another step you can take with them (even if it's moving them out of the trash and into something else), what happens on your phone when hit you try that?
