Email Synchronization with pop3

Hi

I set up a hotmail email account in the "Mail" application on the android phone (HTC evo 3d). It gets my messages fine and everything, and when I delete a message on my phone, it also deletes it from the server, which is good. However, when i mark a message read / unread, it doesn't update the server, only the application. Is there a way to also update the server, so when i check online I don't have 5000 email messages unread, when i've already read them on my phone?

I know there is a way of doing it (in theory), because my blackberry does it just fine. Is there a way to do it in the android mail app?

Hi,
Are you using MS Outlook? If yes you can use OutlookReflex a mobile app to access outlook in android. With this app i can access all my outlook emails in android mobile. when i mark a message read / unread in my mobile it reflects in my desktop outlook too.
