Help Email Titles font size too big

I have a newish but cheap ATT LG smart phone using Android 7. I use the main screen email app to access my hotmail emails. Somehow today the font size of the email titles (Inbox) became too large, thus reducing greatly the number of email titles I can see on one page. I did not do anything deliberately to increase the font size. I looked at the email app's settings and see many email settings, but I see nothing about fonts. I changed the LG device's settings to change the font size from Medium to Small, and that fixed the email inbox problem but of course it changed the texting font to be too small. How can I fix email, and how did I inadvertently change the Inbox font size?

I think you may have inadvertently pinch zoomed the screen. While viewing the email subjects in the mail app do the two-fingered pinch to shrink like you were zooming out on a photo and see if that fixes it for you.
