My server and home alarm system send notifications by email to a text message on my Samsung Note 4. The contact shows as a 10 digit number that counts consecutively with every message no matter who it is from. Standard text messages work just fine though. In the body of the text it shows a from email address. I have tried to add that email address to a contact so it would accumulate all the messages under a single contact, but it will not work. The standard messaging app only recognizes the 10 digit number as the contact. Since this changes with every alert it literally fills my inbox. My wife has a Samsung S5 and it does not have the same problem. Has anyone else encountered this and found a way to fix it?
