Emails aren't automatically syncing with juice defender

So I have juice defender set to reconnect ever thirty minutes, and I also have my mail application set for every thirty minutes. But my emails don't come in until way later.. Does anyone know the problem? Is it because I don't have enable always on mobile data checked?
 
either your data syncing is disabled or the two applications you mentioned are not working well with each other.

verify that your data management (in settings) is configured properly and that your power widget has syncing enabled (the one between gps and screen brightness)
 
I have my emails scheduled to sync every 15 minutes. I have juice defender set to every 15 minutes. Also I have my mail application labeled as visible in Juice defender. I also have enable always-on mobile data. On top of all of that, I have enable background data and auto-sync enabled. And yet I don't get emails in on time. Any thoughts?
