Help Emails getting deleted

Hello,

I am using MOTO G, generation one phone running Android 5.0.2. I have configured my work email on my phone using the inbuilt email client. The same email account was configured on MS Outlook on my laptop and I configured this account to delete emails after 5 days. Due this setting, I am getting the emails deleted on my mobile as well.

I am wondering the email client on my mobile work as outlook that downloads the emails locally leaving/deleting copy on the server. I want the email client on phone work like MS Outlook.

Please let me know what needs to be done to achieve this.

A POP email account would download the emails do the device whereas an IMAP account would leave it on the server. It sounds as though you have an IMAP account if the mails are deleted and unavailable to all devices so you should set these up as POP email accounts on your devices

Also, when setting up the POP3 account on your phone, go into advanced settings for the incoming server and make sure that it's set to leave a copy of the message on the server and not to delete the message from the phone when it's deleted from the server.
