Help Ematic EGS109BL

Hey so it's me again only this time my friends daughter has the problem. You see her birthday was today and her mom bought her a new tablet off the Internet. She bought the Ematic EGS109BL and after charging for 6hrs the took it off the charger and tried to turn it on only it won't turn on.

I'm not sure but I think the power button is stuck down because it doesn't feel like it moves at all and it's not sticking up any. The volume buttons are the same way which is why I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be like that. When I do press the power button it doesn't do anything and it also won't do anything if I hit the reset button on the back. Not sure what to do and wanting to fix it before she finds out and gets sad about it. Help please I need you guys.

If it's just the button that's stuck, a pin applied in the right manner can pull it out (levering it against the edge of the hole in the case that the button sticks through). I suspect that it might be more serious, though. Did the phone have a "battery chrged - remove charger" type of message on it after the 6 hours? If not, leave it plugged in for 24 hours. If it still doesn't give you any message, I'd say it's due for a warranty replacement.

Everyone (and I mean everyone, even ToysRUs) is selling them, so I don't know why she bought it on the internet. She could have walked into almost any store (B&H photo, Sears - I'm surprised McDonalds isn't selling them) and, when she had a problem, just walked it in for a replacement.

She can't walk around a lot and we are getting ready to take it back and see what we can do. Thanks for the help and support
