I bought a samsung galaxy s 2 at the weekend last night my screen came up emergency calls only and wont reset.Can any one help.

Sometimes this just comes up when you have no signal. If your network is having issues in your area or nationwide, it could say that for quite a while.
For example, a few weeks ago O2 in the UK had problems for about 24 hours, and that's what my phone said the entire time. "Emergency calls only"

Remove and reinsert the battery. This should fix the issue, unless there is an outage in the area where you are, or the phone is defective. If the problem persist, contact your service provider for additional help.
