Hello Experts.
I installed unofficial Rom 4.2.1 on HTC wildfire S but my device is so slow and I want install the original Rom.
I found 2.1 Rom and install it but HTC can't boot and show me thousand error and I forced to recover it to 4.2.1.
Please tell me how can I download the Original Wildfire S Rom.

Thank you.

If you can find a compatible RUU you can flash it completely back to stock. You'll need to know your last official software version (i.e. the firmware version - hboot version gives some clues, as does the baseband/radio version) and your CID (customer id - region/country it was originally sold in and, if it was sold through a network, which one), unless you are S-Off.

Without knowing more about your device and what it was running it's hard to advise on what is compatible. 2.1 is very, very old though, so it's quite likely that is not compatible with more recent firmware.

I don't suppose you used your recovery to make a backup before flashing the ROM? If you did, just restore that backup. That's the reason you should always take a recovery backup (aka a "nandroid" backup) before altering system software, because if anything goes wrong it's trivial to revert to where you were before.

Downgrade of firmware is not supported (hboot, radio etc), but an RUU won't care what custom ROM you installed.

I assume that having rooted you've installed fastboot on a computer, in which case if you use "fastboot getvar all" and post the results here (without IMEI and serial number - no need to make those public) that will certainly give us the information we need. Otherwise hboot and baseband versions (in fact all of the info on the hboot screen) and some clue as to the cid (what country are you in, was the phone bought locked to a carrier) would help us find an RUU for you.

You can find collections of RUUs at shipped-ROMS.com and androidRUU.com. HTCDev.com also has some RUUs available (for some devices/cids).
