I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 4G i9305T which is an unlocked ex Telstra phone. Due diligence on Telstra website showed this phone as 900mhz 3G capable. So I expected this would work fine with my Amaysim card (which uses Optus network). However, I find I don't have the reception I used to have in some places with my previous Galaxy S1. Searching for networks, I find Amaysim 3G connected (I expect 2100mhz) and Amaysim "Forbidden Network" (I suspect is the 900Mhz). I suspect not being able to use 900 when 2100 is not available is my issue. Can I open my phone to 900mhz 3G, and if so, how please?
