Encrypt device

If i encrypt the device i will be forced to use a password everytime the screen turna on?

Or only after reboot?

I want it to ask only once.. at boot time..
Please advise..

I will encrypt it tonight .. it's note 3 with 25GB/32GB so will take a while..

Be very careful when encrypting your device because the encryption is based on factory settings. If your device is rooted and you encrypt it, when it boots up next time you may end up with a brick. Believe me, i'm speaking from experience. Unless you have a backup of your stock ROM on a flash drive or on a laptop be very careful.
