Endomondo Pro App

I am trying to use the Endomondo Pro app to keep track of the distance and speed of my indoor cycling workout, but it doesn't seem to pick up any of the data. The only thing it records is the duration of the workout. Do I need to purchase anything else to enable it to track the distance and speed of the workout. I do have GPS enabled when using the app.

Thanks

gps accuracy in most cases isn't much better than 10-15 meters (30-45 ft). How bigs is the track you're moving on? You may not be covering enough actual distance (not enough varience in your position globally) for the app to really recognize the movememnt via gps..

Since this is about the how the app works rather than the Nexus 5 itself, I've moved this to the Android Applications forum for better support. :)

As Scooby mentioned, the GPS tracking doesn't work if you're on a stationary bike (or a treadmill), it only tracks actual movement, and usually isn't very reliable indoors either. You can manually edit the workout and enter whatever distance the bike tells you, if you're trying to keep a weekly/montly overview of your workouts.

Because these apps work on GPS to track your distance speed ext.....
You need enter the workout manually. This is for when you used a different device to track your activity (for example, on a treadmill or cycled on an exercise bike).
Then that will link that workout with your account.

Some other apps (runtatstic) have special accessories.
Runtastic Speed & Cadence Sensor (Bluetooth Low Energy) integration: Measure your cadence and exact speed, as you turn your smartphone into a professional cycling computer.
