I'm not sure if this is an app question or phone/GPS question, but figured this is as good a place to start as any.
I have an LG G3, & most afternoons when it's warm enough, a coworker & I take a short walk in the afternoon. Since I also use MyFitnessPal for food & exercise tracking, out of habit I turn on Endomondo to track my walk so it will auto-upload to MFP.
We usually (not always, but usually) walk the exact same path, but the distance Endomondo tracks has been varying lately for some reason. Most days Endomondo tracks our route as anywhere from 1.25 to 1.3 miles, but one day it registered 1.79 miles & I know that's not right. When I looked at the map for the 1.79 mile day, it shows that we zigzagged all over the place (down in the ditch, across the railroad tracks, & into a nearby neighborhood!) but we really just stayed on the bike path.
I have my location settings on "High Accuracy (GPS & networks)" & don't usually have wifi on when we walk, & for mobile data I normally have it on CDMA instead of LTE.
Any idea of anything I'm doing with my settings that could cause such a variance?
