English (UK) but no

Ok hopefully the title of the thread explains it pretty well, I have set my language to English (UK) in settings>Language&Keyboard but it still shows up as $, I can't find a

I only did a post about this very subject last night so i will say it again :) Apparently if you install a custom keyboard made by the good folks on the xda forums you can get the pound symbol on the keyboard,check this out,

I think this is the same one I was directed to in the previous post I wrote on the subject. I will give it a go, but...
