Epic 4G Touch vs EVO 3D vs EVO 4G vs Thunderbolt: Boot Times

Wow, the Evo time surprises me. CM7 is a pretty compact ROM, 85ish Mb without Gapps. My Evo currently runs a 270 something Mb Sense 3.0 ROM that I've never held a watch to, but I'd bet a round that it boots faster than that one. I'll have to time it and see for sure.

My Evo can boot up in a couple of minutes sometimes but other times it gets hung up at the 4G screen for minutes.

The ET is the fastest booting phone I've ever used. The reboot speed is incredible.

"Whatever it was doing for the last two and a half minutes, I have no idea."

I know what I was doing- waiting for a stupid phone boot up.

Other thread apparently deleted...

I think it is CM7 making the Evo look bad. My Evo 4G boots in step with the Evo 3D.

This having been said - Epic Touch looks pretty sweet. Hopefully Samsung won't leave this phone lagging behind the rest of the world like they have with pretty much every other one of their non-Nexus Android phones. If the dev community embraces this phone like they have the Evo 4G then this won't be an issue!

Lol, no pity please. If the worst problem I have is a slow booting Evo, life must be pretty damn good.

I'll second that. Of course I also typically went about 400 hours in between reboots so 2 mins wasn't that big a deal in the grand scheme of things.
