Help Equalizer not working

Hi people.
So, on my phone (zuk z2) equalizer doesn't really seem to work. I did some Google research and I found a few discussions about just the same problem. Somehow I got to work an older version of dub music player and the equalizer is working there, but just partly and the sound doesn't really sound great. Also the bass boost and virtualization feature does nothing. If you have an idea how I could fix this, I'll appreciate it.

There's nothing to see, equalizer looks just the same as in other phones but it doesn't change the sound at all by tweaking settings. Only dub music player's equalizer does change the sound but only a small bit, bass setting does nothing at all too. I tried enabling and disabling MusicFX in phone main settings but that didn't do anything too.

Is there any other music player on your device that may be compromising or incompatible with you're stock equalizer?
Did you go into settings and locate the equalizer app and clear the cache or set it as the default app for your device?
