Possible, absolutely. Google's going to push this phone pretty hard for the next couple of months. If the first platform fails, it's going to look bad for the second. Momentum will be lost, dreams will be shattered, milk will be spilt, etc.

Well, I have yet to see any kind of push whatsoever from Google or tmobile.
I have NEVER seen a TV ad and the only reason I even found out about the G1 last month was I went to Tmo's site to look for a new phone.
Consider the hype some *~-other-~* companys have created promoting they're respective products. This thing (the G1)is more like a Tsunami.... You can't really see it even exists until it is on you... Then "WAM" its 100 ft high.

I've seen a one comercial a few times. Its a basic "look at this new phone" genaric comercial like everyone does, with only one twist "powered by google, so you know its good".

I think they're waiting to get rid of some of the launch day jitteres and solve the issues that people are complaining about, let some great apps hit the market, and get some key services working (exchange) so they can run adds that can really show off the potential of this phone.

Once they get those taken care of expect some adds showing off specific apps showing off street view, location awareness, barcode scaning etc. All the things that make people go "no way!" "I have to get one"

I was really surprised about the launch day jitters yur talking about. I was expecting to have some real waiting etc... I turned the phone on..logged into my gmail and done...
It really was a no sweat experience.
