I connected the wireless of the G1 to my schools internet which is password protected....

This could easily be fixed if I knew where to change the connection options.

You need to go in to Settings > Wireless controls > Wifi Settings > Then hold your finger on the wifi network you want to delete for 2 seconds, and you can remove this network from there.
