Error downloading, there is insufficient space on the device

After days and days of trying various solutions that all failed, I finally found something that works! An app called MarketFix!

This fixed the issue on my rooted LG OV! Thanks!

Yes, this actually works.

Assuming you cannot download applications from Market, this is what you have to do to fix this problem.

1.) Download MarketFix: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.felipearon.marketfix
2.) Put it on your SD Card via USB.
3.) Open the .apk file you download with File Manager and install it.
4.) Run it and follow the instructions. Took me 0.2 seconds to fix it.

these small errors are so annoying and noone seems to know any answers on the internets anymore these days...

but if you have this error and something about "Storage Space running out", then try this:
1) dial *#9900# on the tablet and select option 2 “Delete dumpstate/logcat”
2) Clear Data under Google Play
3) reboot the device
4) lol... looks like that only clears the storage space error... how do you get root access with market fix??

You don't get root access with MarketFix, you get root access first, and then see whether MarketFix will solve your problem. How you get root access depends on what device you have - there is no single, universal tool or method.

You do realise though that there hasn't been a post in this thread for 2 years, so it's possible that some of the fixes above are out of date now.

the question was how do you fix the problem or get root access FOR marketfix, not if the marketfix will solve the problem or not :joyman:

but everyone who used this tool and fixed their issue had a 'rooted' phone then?

Actually you asked "how do you get root access with market fix??", not "for", and I simply replied to the question as phrased rather than assuming you meant something different. Sorry, must have left my grammar parser set to "strict"

And you'd be surprised how often people respond to threads they found in a search without spotting the age of the thread!

But to answer your last question, yes, that is what earlier posts and the Play Store entry for MarketFix say: you need root for it to work.

finally solved this annoying shittttttttt!!! :-S
the Gallery app had somehow created 212MB of cache, so i deleted that (cache, not data) and it fixed the annoyin problem!!
there is also somekind of 1-tap cache cleaner app on Gplay, which led me to the solution
