Error message: Which app?

CharlesLewis

I keep getting an error message that pops up on the screen of my Droid X for 3-4 seconds and then disappears: "You must be connected to WiFi or change your settings." The problem is that I don't know which app is sending the message!

I'm wondering if anyone has some apps or settings I should check. I know this is a tough problem since you don't have a list of all my apps (and don't want one that large), but maybe you might have received this message yourself and know what app sent it.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Obviously an app that you set to use wifi only and one that must be trying to sync...

When the message pops up have an app like "system panel" handy do you can see what processes are running.

Actually, I believe that is the wifi itself. I get a message similar to that when I get home and turn my wifi on. That message pops up for like 1 second then it connects to my router.

No, it certainly sounds like an app that you have set to only update on Wifi. A weather app perhaps?

Instead of sending us a list of all apps you have installed, you could post a list of apps that are running at the time you see the error. We can at least tell you which apps are not causing the error message.

Here are the running apps. I hope this helps. Some of these are obviously services started by an app, but I don't know which.

Thanks!!

I'm betting you are right. I went through the running apps and changed the setting on DropSnap yesterday morning and haven't had the error message pop up since then.
