Hello

I have recently purchased the Samsung S3 and I now am receiving an error message in regards to the gapps it then freezes my phone.

The error is "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped"

Would anyone know what this means? As I have indicated, once this error appears my samsung freezes. I hope someone can help me out.

Thanks

I've seen people talking about this message the last few days on multiple forums - so it's probably a problem with the system that should be solved with an update one of these days.
Gapps deals with syncing google contacts, so when you go to settings -> accounts and sync -> and then disable sync for contacts the message should go away.

Edit: from the XDA forum:
"but all you need to do is go to settings->applications manager-> all -> internet -> Clear Data.
Open up your browser again, and it will re-log you in on your google account and sync internet correctly.
Hope this helps."

Hi wendy1963. :)

This problem is caused by one of the Google Apps (such as Google Maps, GMail etc). I would recommend going to Settings > Applications > All. Then scroll through, and when you see a Google App wipe the data for it. Do one at a time, so that you can pin point which app is causing the problem.

The method above may also work, by the way. :)
