Help Error then no command (MOTO G5S +)

Ok I enter recovery mode to go to the fast boot menu and scroll to run graphics test (just installing a new screen) and it says error then flips to the no command screen. I don't believe this is the normal behavior. Can some one with more knowledge please help?

It should be the opposite order, you need to boot up into Fastboot mode first in order to then be able to switch into Recovery mode:

But even then, I wasn't aware there was a graphics test option in the Moto Fastboot or Recovery menus. Please post documentation on this.

Sorry you are correct it is the fastboot then recovery mode selected to enter that menu
