Hello,
I don't know much about Android. My Samsung Galaxy Note 3 recently updated from Android 4.5 (Kit Kat) to Android 5 (Lollipop). I was upset with what's called the "Heads Up Notifications" and foolishly tried to fix this problem using online forums myself. Here's what I did:
I was using the wonder how to guide to swap Heads Up Notifications for the Old-Style Ticker in Android Lollipop. I backed my phone up using kies 3. I then rooted my phone using kingo root. Everything went seemingly fine. Then I tried to install the TWRP custom recovery and everything went wrong. I went to test the custom recovery and instead of loading the TWRP application my phone went into what I assume is the standard bootloader (It only allowed me to reboot, do a factory reset, wipe cache, and another option or two). I tried to reboot normally and I didn't work. The screen was black. I did a factory reset and recovered everything on my phone using kies. I still want to root my phone and get rid of the Heads Up Notifications. My phone still has an SU file in xbin and superuser.apk file in system/apps. I think these need to be removed before I can restart the process (kingo root doesn't successfully root anymore).
I have screenshots of the messages I get when I try to delete the SU and superuser.apk files. I've tried different programs to do this and none work.
Is there anyway I can delete these files from my phone?
