Error when uploading apk

hello
I m new to android development. I have created an app and generated A signed apk file. but when i upload it on play store get this error

You uploaded an APK with an invalid signature (learn more about signing). Error from apksigner: ERROR: JAR_SIG_NO_MANIFEST: Missing META-INF/MANIFEST.MF


please let me know where I m wrong

The problem is solved. It seems to be caused by some cookies etc. I have tried uploading my apk in the browser's incognito mode and had success.
