ES File Explorer and NAS connection

I am trying to connect my Xperia tab to my NAS with ES File Explorer. ES finds the NAS and shows the folders but when I try to access it, I get a "The account has no permissions". So, I am assuming that I should be seeing a login page - but I don't. However, the QFile app, that is from QNAP< the same company as the server works OK so I am assuming that the device doesn't have a problem. The NAS has "everyone" as shared.

Any ideas?

Sounds like you just need to create a user account on your NAS if you haven't already done so. Then, when you add the new server in ES File explorer, you just enter the same user and password.

I wish it were that simple! I have a share set up with users set to "everyone" and it works OK with other devices. Thanks for responding.
