Help ES File explorer broke since update

I'm on a Shield tablet with Android 6.0 and since the last app update ES File Explorer will only work on the owner account. I have 2 other users on this device and it worked on those accounts too before the last app update.

Now I just get the "The app has stopped working" error message when I try to start it on those non owner user accounts.

I installed the old version from the estrongs website and it works fine.

as I have said many times, don't keep fixing anything until it is broken....

that means, turn OFF Auto Updates....
the phone does NOT need them period.... unless your carrier updates the OS and suddenly one app breaks....

I never update any app, unless it stops working, and that is damn seldom.

Actually, I like the older version much better. It doesn't have any built in advertising.

ES Pro doesn't have any advertising either.

I have found that they tend to try things out in the free version and are much more conservative with the Pro version.
