ES File Explorer: where are my files?

After the latest update (something about Dropbox) it now asks me to set up a server. Do I have to do this to access my SD files? Right now the area is empty.

Are you perhaps displaying the LAN instead of LOCAL files? It's been a long time since I had a blank LAN display area, but that's what it sounds like.

Perhaps, but how do I change it? I've tried every button I can press and nothing fixes it.

On mine, in the upper left part of the screen there is a button that says "Local". If I tap it I get a menu to select Local, LAN, FTP, Bluetooth or Net. The button label corresponds to the current selection.

You can also tap the Menu button and select either "Hide Tabs" or "Show Tabs", depending on what the current setting is. What I described above is with tabs hidden.

I hope that helps.

Thanks. Choosing "Local" didn't work at first, so I had to go into Settings and unhide the Local tab. Not sure how it got hidden in the first place, since I only ever use FSE for looking at my SD card! :)
