To activate an eSIM on an android phone on Verizon you have to call customer service, they'll help you set it up. It's pretty straightforward but you have to go through them still. Should only take s few minutes.
After reading more stuff you may be able to activate it with the My Verizon app. I don't use it so can't check. You used to have to call. Oh, I don't know lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
