So, I skipped the eSIM/Project Fi setup when I first got my phone. I have an unlocked device on Verizon.
If I understand correctly, I should be able to go to Mobile Network, and there should be an option for Carriers which should show Verizon, and should then give me the ability to either switch to profile already setup on my eSIM, or should let me set up a new profile. However, when I go into Mobile Network settings, there is no such option for any of that. Am I understanding this correctly?
If I wanted to activate onto a carrier via eSIM (probably most applicable abroad, but in the States, Project Fi should be available - theoretically), how would I do that? Would I have to set up through that carrier's portal/app? I feel like that defeats the purpose of eSIM and the supposed convenience.
Any insight is appreciated!
